# An agent asks for a quote. You know which company sent it and what it may spend.

This page is for sellers: those selling data and APIs to agents, and catalogue sellers taking orders for hire, parts and supply.

TollRelay puts the buyer's company, its spending limit and the person who approves it on every request an agent sends. You keep your price, your terms and the final say.

## One order, step by step

1. **Request**: the agent sends its request with its pass attached.
2. **Check**: before it quotes, the hire desk sees the company (its legal name, its country, verified), the agent, its limit, whether a person must approve, and how many orders it has placed with sellers on TollRelay.
3. **Approve**: the quote is over $1,500, so a person at the company approves it, on a screen no agent can reach.
4. **Receipt**: the money goes straight from the company's wallet to you, inside its limit. Both sides hold the same receipt, so reconciling is matching two ids.

## Sellers keep their price, their terms and the final say.

TollRelay is a check you run before you quote, take an order or serve a request. It doesn't take a cut, take payments or stand between you and your customer. The first 10,000 checks each month are free. After that a check costs a tenth of a cent.

1. **Get a key.** Talk to us and we issue your seller key.
2. **Add one call before you quote or take the order.** Send the pass you received. The answer comes back in under 50 ms.
3. **Keep the receipt.** Write its id next to the order. The buyer's history holds the same one.

## What it costs you to start

- **1 call** before you quote or take the order, with the pass the agent sent. You get a yes or a no, the reasons and a receipt id.
- **50 ms** or less for the answer. Or check offline against public keys, with no call at all.
- **$0** for the first 10,000 checks each month. After that, $0.001 a check, with no minimum and no share of the sale.

## Questions sellers ask us

### What if a buyer's agent has no pass?

Serve it the way you do today. The check only adds what you know when a pass is there, and it never blocks a customer you already have.

### Do I change how I get paid?

No. You charge the way you already do, by x402, MPP or your usual invoice. TollRelay never touches the payment and takes no share of it.

### What do I learn about the buyer?

The company's legal name and country, whether its verification passed, the agent that asked, whether the order is inside its limit, and how many earlier purchases it has made. Never its documents.
